Administrative Assistant

Summary:                                                                                                                                        

Duties include general clerical, receptionist and project based work. Responsible for office organization and support for staff and board. Also provides support to marketing/special events staff and Executive Director. Come work with the greatest office around!!

Duties:

1. Organize and perform general office duties so they are completed in a timely and efficient manner including mail, phones, and correspondence.

2. Prepare monthly financials reconciling expenses with receipts and make deposits as needed

3. Answer telephones and transfer to appropriate staff member.

4. Meet and greet clients and visitors.

5. Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office.

6. Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.

7. Research, price, and purchase office furniture and supplies.

8. Coordinate and maintain records for staff, office space, phones, parking, company credit cards and office keys.

9. Support staff in assigned project based work.

10. Maintain and troubleshoot computer and phone system so they function at optimal levels.

11. Track donations in database and send all appropriate letters and thank you notes.

12. Prepare monthly mailings to Board of Directors prior to Board meetings.

13. Provide direct assistance and support to Executive Director.

14. Provide support to special events and marketing staff.

15. Manage and enter leave and sick requests

16. Daily office clerical duties

17. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Strong organizational, communication and team skills
• Strong computer program and system skills, management skills
• Ability to be a supportive resource to staff
• Ability to perform variety of tasks efficiently
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Experience in a variety of computer programs and software including Microsoft Office, and donor management software

40 hrs/wk Mon.-Fri.                                                                                                        

Salary: $20,800 DOE plus benefits.  Benefits: Paid sick days, vacation and paid holidays. Retirement plan, health insurance. GREAT office working environment and team of coworkers.

A Summer Girls for a Change Writing Workshop

If you are approaching 7th, 8th or 9th grade. Something about writing intrigues you-maybe it’s the opportunity to tell the world how you feel or the sound of words rhyming or simply that urge you’ve always had to get it down on paper. This summer workshop focuses on your voice. We’ll take on the task playfully.

During Spring of 2009, Murdoch’s Ranch and Home Supply, Thrive and Heart of the Valley collaborated their efforts to benefit all. Through this innovative thought process, the partners reached their individual goals by creating a new program that builds on the strengths, resources and core values of all. The result:  Pups and Pals.
 
Here’s how Pups and Pals works. Hard to adopt shelter dogs and CAP children along with their mentors work closely together with a dog trainer for six weeks. The dogs learn basic puppy manners and become more socialized.  The outcome: More adoptable pets. CAP students learn basic dog training skills, patience, and consistency – knowledge that will make them more responsible pet owners. And lastly, CAP kids feel a tremendous sense of pride as they help the dogs and make their community a better place by volunteering.  Murdoch’s leads the community in finding unique, new ways to support activities that make Bozeman a better place.
 
On May 21st at 4pm, we celebrated the accomplishments of the 2nd graduating Pups and Pals class at Murdoch’s Ranch and Home Supply store at 2275 No 7th Ave on Bozeman.
