Kendall Saboda, Class of 2010

  • Name: Kendall Saboda
  • Years in GFAC: 3

Three years ago, I attended my first Girls for a Change meeting, excited, yet completely unaware of the valuable insights, global awareness, confidence, and friendships I would gain from this organization. But three years—ninety hours of meetings, and three conferences later—I feel I am a stronger person, more sure of my convictions. Next year, I will have the opportunity to attend either Goucher College just outside of Baltimore, Maryland, or Montana State University and I know that GFAC has given me the confidence I need to pursue my goals. After completing my undergraduate education, I plan to enter medical school. Although schooling will provide me with the knowledge needed to be a doctor, I know that GFAC has inspired me to know myself and the needs of women around the world.  As a doctor, I would like to travel abroad and provide care where it is most needed through an organization such as Doctors without Borders. I would like to specifically aid women whose needs have been forgotten in the hands of corrupt governments. Girls for a Change has been a powerful force in my life and I know that it will propel Montana girls to know themselves for years to come. Thanks to all of you for being such an inspiration in my life.
