Your child won’t apologize when he hurts someone or when he does something wrong.
- It helps to teach a child how to apologize. For example, if your child throws a baseball that hits another child, quietly say, “I know that was an accident, but it’s polite to say, I’m sorry the ball hit you. Are you OK?”
- Teach your child that actions speak as loudly as words.
- Model the behavior you want to instill in your child. Children learn most by our example!
